Brain Gym

Mark Church demonstrating some Brain Gym movements

Brain gym helps stimulate learning through movement.

Each hemisphere of the brain, and the different areas within each hemisphere is responsible for various functions of the body and mind, for example: auditory, visual, communication, creativity, reasoning, co-ordination and movement etc. When we (especially children) are put under stress or find something difficult, part of the brain that has to do with that stress 'switches off' and the task becomes even more difficult and frustrating.

Years of research has shown that specific movements can 'switch on' various parts of the brain and learning and co-ordination can become easier again; literally a few minutes of certain exercises can make a huge difference to the tasks we want to do well in, whether it is in academia, sport, emotional or behavioural problems, concentration, communication, business et cetera. It is important that the two hemispheres of the brain work together. All age ranges can benefit, especially children.

Brain gym can help:
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT - DYSLEXIA - DYSPRAXIA - CREATIVITY BLOCKS - A.D.D
EMOTIONAL ISSUES - A. D. H. D - STRESS - OTHER LEARNING DIFFICULTIES

Sports facilities, schools (including higher education faculties), and businesses can all be enhanced by using the brain gym system.
